2025 Wrapped
2025 was busy, but in the best way: A year of launches, partnerships, and collaboration across markets worldwide. Looking back, it was one of those years that kept the buzz all around: lots of big steps, tough calls, and an amazing team that kept pushing.
Before we turn the page, here’s our 2025 wrapped up in numbers:

1 Snap Away from Smart Carts
We opened the year with something we’d been building toward for a long time: the official release of our Smart Cart software, shopreme snap cart, in February 2025.
The introduction of snap cart at famila Nordost marked an important step from concept to live store usage.
In parallel, pilots and collaborations with retailers such as V-Markt reflected the strong influence of smart cart pilots and collaborations on the shaping of 2025, driving smart shopping forward in partnership with retailers. While not all projects can be revealed yet, the direction is clear. Stay tuned!
Austria’s #1 in Payment Systems
Out of 1900 companies analyzed, shopreme was ranked Austria’s #1 in payment systems by the IMWF Institute, recognizing strong innovation performance in a competitive field. Based on reputation, R&D strength, and real-world impact, the award highlights commitment to developing future-ready solutions that operate at scale.

Live in 2.000+ Stores
A snapshot of our customer landscape reveals over 2,000 stores. More importantly, it’s a signal that retailers are rethinking checkout and building ecosystems that create experiences, not queues.

3 Years Auchan Romania Scan & Go
Auchan Romania launched Scan & Go in 2022, and 2025 marked the third year of it being part of everyday shopping routines. Self-checkout becomes truly valuable when it becomes a habit: At shopreme, 91% of first-time Scan & Go users return.
Self-Checkout Kiosks 3.1: Accessibility & Design
We’re officially presenting key additions to our Self-Checkout Kiosk shopreme matrix at EuroShop 2026 in Düsseldorf, including:
The matrix 3.1 “large” variant for different scanner and scale combinations
The accessibility+ add-on
A Windows-capable tablet SKU
Nexusboard as an OEM article
Different stores require different setups, moving from kiosks to a flexible store format strategy, featuring:
Modular scanner and scale combinations
Advanced accessibility requirements
Various integration scenarios

4 New Countries Added to the Map
Scale didn’t just grow in store count but geographically: Across the year, shopreme projects added momentum, and we could celebrate new customers in four additional markets.
Canada
APAC
Spain
Switzerland

5 + 10 + 1: Great Minds Code <Alike/>
Celebrating 5 years of shopreme, 10 years of wirecube, and 1 year of wirecube electronics, this year brought three milestones that put growth into perspective.
Three companies, one mindset:
Great minds code <alike/>.

6 New Partners: An Alliance Network in 90+ Countries
Ecosystems thrive when integrations become boring (in the best way).
In 2025, we welcomed six new partners into our alliance network across 90+ countries, including leading providers for Smart Carts, POS solutions, and handheld devices.
