Top Supplier Retail 2026 at the Reta Awards
This recognition follows another important milestone: shopreme was named Top Supplier Retail 2026 at the Reta Awards, presented by EHI Retail Institute.
At EuroShop 2026, world's biggest retail fair in Düsseldorf, shopreme received the award for its role as technology partner in the unified Self-Checkout Ecosystem implemented with famila Nordost. The joint project competed in the Checkout & Smart Store category, where famila Nordost was selected as a Reta finalist.

Introducing the Award-Winning Self-Checkout Ecosystem
In collaboration with shopreme, famila Nordost has implemented its connected Self-Checkout ecosystem, unifying several checkout touchpoints with a single integration to the existing POS, loyalty, and ERP systems.
The setup incorporates shopreme Scan & Pay on Zebra PS30 handheld scanners and Hanshow Smart Carts, the shopreme Employee App, Loss Prevention, Retail Media integration, and Management Console for detailed analytics.
Customers can choose the device that best suits their shopping needs, while retailers can manage different checkout journeys through a single source of truth, featuring pre-integrations with the famila App and loyalty program.
Loss prevention is built into every touchpoint through software-based controls. On Smart Carts, AI-powered camera vision for scan validation adds another layer of security.
The Employee App supports store teams by enabling spot checks, age verification, and even hardware management directly on the shop floor. famila Nordost's existing SCOs are seamlessly integrated into the process.
All touchpoints are centrally managed in the shopreme Management Console. This helps to reduce space requirements, support more flexible staffing, and simplify scalable rollouts across stores.
Smart Carts are the latest addition to famila Nordost’s self-checkout ecosystem. They have been integrated into the existing infrastructure operated by Bela IT, demonstrating how new Self-Checkout touchpoints can be added without the need to rebuild the entire setup.
